Learning Design Hub
(Free and Open-source)

Presentation (10).png

This is a place where you will find curriculum materials, resources, tips, and guides to help you with your Instructional Design processes to increase engagement. We prefer open-source materials and tools that enable everyone to fully access learning or facilitate the instructional design process. After years of collecting these resources and bookmarking them for future use, we want to share them. These are not in alphabetical order. These are in exploring order.

Record Player

Go check out bensound's free music for videos. Bensound's music gives us all the feels! The site enables you to download copyright-safe music for use in your videos: Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Just be sure to give them the attribution. Bensound is the best place to find royalty-free music that pops your videos up! Be sure and bookmark this site.

Writing on Tablet

We love the Hemingway App. Hemingway makes your writing bold and clear. It's like a spellchecker, but for style. It makes sure that your reader will focus on your message, not your prose.

Too often, our words are like our thoughts — innumerable and disorganized. Almost any bit of writing could use some cutting. Less is more, etc.

So, the Hemingway Editor will highlight (in yellow and red) where your writing is too dense. Try removing needless words or splitting the sentence into two. Your readers will thank you.

Hebrew Writings

QuillBot is a helpful paraphraser app. I love it!

You can:

Improve your speed
Paraphrase an unlimited number of words in one click, with a faster processing rate to get more done in less time.

Increase Changes
Unlock the final Synonyms setting to maximize the changes to your text.

Improve Meaning
Unlock five more modes to give yourself even more flexibility in your writing.

Design made easy and free.
Create amazing visual content with no design experience. Start by yourself, or invite others to collaborate.

I am including a link to their design school, as well. Anyone can make quick and easy designs that are sophisticated and design-driven.

Here is the course, Canva for Beginners. If you have not checked it out, you will be amazed.

Man Working

Audacity is a free and open-source digital audio editor and recording application software, available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and other Unix-like operating systems. As of September 22, 2022, Audacity is the most popular download at FossHub. In addition to recording audio from multiple sources, Audacity can be used for post-processing of all types of audio, including effects such as normalization, trimming, and fading in and out. I have recorded and edited over 2,000 voice-overs using Audacity. It is free and easy to use.

I definitely recommend creating a library of common phrases and recordings that you keep in a repository and insert back into your eLearning.
