Sharon Link, Ph.D., M.Ed., MBA in process

Founder and Lead Designer

My name is Dr. Sharon Link. I hope you are doing well. I am a learning and leadership strategy expert published on Industry 4.0 topics, servant-leadership, systems thinking, and change management. Knowledge of these topics is essential to preparing executive leaders and managers for 2025 and 2030 horizons. ALL organizations need to be attuned to Industry 4.0 requirements.

Industry 4.0

Klaus Schwab, who is the Founder and Executive Chairman for the World Economic Forum, and expert on future topics, defined the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) as “the fusion of technologies and their interaction across the physical, digital, and biological domains” (p. 8). He further stated: “Every company is compelled to reconsider their traditional ways of doing business to keep pace with rapidly changing technology and consumer expectations. In all cases, particularly with artificial intelligence (AI), genetic engineering and other technologies that could conceivably escape our control, we need to take care in building systems that minimize risks and improve the human condition.” This is my goal in working with you.

Learning & Leadership Strategist

As a Learning and Leadership Strategist Consultant working with a myriad of global companies from coast-to-coast, I have designed, developed, and implemented leadership development and human resources-based workshops, online learning, and utilized other innovative practices with a keen eye on inclusive leadership in a digital and agile work environment. I am extraordinarily technologically savvy and have worked with over a dozen different Learning Management Systems. I have worked with an array of universities and Fortune 500s to identify needs using various inventories and needs assessments, conducted SWOT analyses, and integrated the use of metrics to develop or improve programs.

As a strategist, I have worked with executive leadership and managers to assess their current needs, diplomatically coach them to develop their own leadership brands, agilely grow in their knowledge and efficacy, all with an eye on future trends. I work with high levels of emotional intelligence, servant-leadership, thoughtfulness, reflection, systems-thinking, data, current literature, including case studies, and relatably ensure that learning processes are tied directly to measurable business goals and talent plan objectives.

Leadership Scholar | Learning Practitioner

As a leadership scholar/practitioner, I earned my Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. My first master’s degree is an M.Ed. in Administration with a Human Resources focus. As a life-long learner, I am halfway through my second master’s degree, which is an online (remote) MBA at Concordia University, Nebraska. I am well versed in leadership development, leadership theory, organizational theory, systems thinking, design thinking, and organizational behavior. I am a part-time, adjunct instructor for the same program and am evaluating the veracity of the MBA program, while working on continuous self and program development; I concurrently teach Leadership and Organizational Behavior, Organizational Resource Development, and Employee Training, Development and Retention. I have been teaching online since 2008, and in this specific program since 2015. I have developed over 75 courses and learning experiences, both online and in-seat. I am an extraordinarily prolific author of original content. I am a highly skilled presenter and facilitator.

Collaborative Partner

Before designing any learning experiences, I routinely conduct several needs assessments, cultural evaluations, interviews, and review current data. I need to understand what current systems are in place and conduct a SWOT analysis and gap analysis. I involve and interview necessary stakeholders and pilot learning experiences during the design process, seek feedback, and evaluate where we are before any sort of full-scale implementation takes place. Change management involves high levels of systems and design thinking, thoughtfulness, servant-leadership, and insight. People get edgy in the face of rapid change, so going forward requires skill, empathy, listening, diplomacy, and expertise.  I bring all of these attributes to my work as a collaborative partner working with you to help you and your organization prepare now and for future horizons.
